Pyromation distributor in South Carolina
Need a temperature sensor that isn't an off-the-shelf part? MAHC supplies Pyromation thermocouples, RTDs, thermowells and custom sensor assemblies to manufacturers, OEMs and maintenance teams across South Carolina.
Where Pyromation stands out
A sensor looks simple until the application demands a specific sheath diameter, insertion length, fitting, lead construction, termination, calibration, response time or material. Pyromation is built for those.
Working From a Sensor in Hand
Send clear photos of the complete sensor, any manufacturer or part number, probe diameter and length, fitting or mounting dimensions, lead length, termination style, thermocouple type or RTD information, operating temperature and what it measures. An old drawing is a bonus.
Send us your existing sensorWorking From a Specification
Sensor type, calibration, sheath diameter and length, sheath material, process connection, lead length and construction, termination, temperature range, junction style and application. Don't have all of it? Start with what you know.

MgO-insulated, general-purpose and industrial assemblies, versions with connection heads, spring-loaded, immersion, melt-bolt and nozzle, ring and spade, flexible, abrasion-resistant, heat-tracing, hazardous-location and custom constructions.

Pt100 and Pt1000, single- and dual-element, general-purpose and MgO assemblies, connection-head and spring-loaded types, sanitary and CIP sensors, remote-mount, heat-tracing and custom RTD constructions.

You don't need a formal engineering drawing to start. Answer what you can and we'll work with Pyromation on the construction.
1 · What Are We Measuring?
Air, liquid, metal, plastic melt, a bearing, a furnace, a pipe run or another process.
2 · What Temperature Range?
Normal operating temperature and, if you know it, the maximum the sensor could ever see.
3 · How Does It Mount?
Threaded or compression fitting, bayonet, bolt, flange, thermowell, surface mount or something else.
4 · What Size Fits?
Probe diameter, insertion length and any space limitations around the machine.
5 · How Does It Terminate?
Lead wires, plug, terminal head, transmitter or another connection at the panel end.
6 · What Environment Will It See?
Moisture, abrasion, chemicals, vibration, pressure and washdown all change how a sensor is built.
Thermowells and complete assemblies
The sensing element is only part of the measurement. Pyromation also makes what protects it and carries its signal — so a sensor can be quoted as one assembly instead of five purchase orders.
Thermowells
Threaded, flanged, socket-weld, weld-in, Van Stone and sanitary styles in heavy-duty constructions, plus complete sensor and thermowell assemblies. Provide process connection, insertion length, material, pressure, temperature and pipe information.
Request a thermowell quoteTransmitters & Wiring
Thermocouple and extension wire, RTD wire, temperature transmitters that convert to common process signals such as 4–20 mA — including programmable and HART® options.
Heads, Hardware & Accessories
Connection heads, plugs and jacks, terminal blocks, fittings, mounting hardware and protection tubes.
Built Around the Process
Melt-bolt and nozzle sensors for plastics, protection-tube assemblies for heat treat and furnaces, sanitary and CIP RTDs for food and pharma, thermowell assemblies for chemical process, and custom constructions for OEM machinery.
Plastics & extrusion solutionsStandard part, old sensor, or new application
We're based in Spartanburg, South Carolina and supply Pyromation temperature-measurement products throughout the state and the surrounding region. For a standard sensor send the part number; for a replacement send the old sensor information; for a custom sensor send the application.

Pyromation temperature sensor FAQ
Send us the temperature range, environment and what the measurement drives. As a rule, RTDs win on stability and repeatability in moderate ranges, while thermocouples reach higher temperatures and survive harsher installations. Geometry and response time often decide it before accuracy does.
That's one of the most common requests we get. Photos of the complete sensor, probe diameter and length, the fitting or mounting dimensions, lead length, termination style and calibration type are usually enough to develop a Pyromation assembly that drops into the existing hole.
Yes. We can quote the well and sensor as one assembly — threaded, flanged, socket-weld, weld-in, Van Stone or sanitary — matched for insertion length and process conditions, so the sensor and its pressure boundary arrive together.
Send the application, not the part number.
You don't need to figure out the complete Pyromation ordering code before calling MAHC — that's our job.
