Industry solution

Thermal solutions for plastics & extrusion

Consistent melt temperature. Tight zone control. Zero cold starts. MAHC engineers the heating loop your extruder or molder demands.

The challenge

Every gram, every degree

In extrusion and injection molding, a single cold zone means inconsistent melt — and scrap. MAHC provides matched heaters, sensors and multi-zone controllers so every barrel section tracks setpoint.

Band & Cartridge Heaters

High-watt-density band heaters for barrel zones; cartridge heaters for nozzle tips, hot runners and shut-off valves.

Multi-Zone PID Control

Single-loop and multi-loop controllers (up to 32 zones) with ramp/soak profiles, alarm logic and auto-tune.

Melt-Temp Instrumentation

Fast-response RTDs and grounded thermocouples for melt pressure/temp sensors in the barrel or die head.

Zone Control Panels

Integrated panels with SSRs, fuses and thermocouple wiring — one unit per extruder, ready to install.

Applications

What we heat in plastics

  • Single & twin-screw extruders
  • Injection molding barrels & hot-runner manifolds
  • Blow molding & extrusion-blow
  • Thermoforming heaters & radiant panels
  • Perforator & corona-treatment heaters
  • Downstream: chill rolls, calender, die heating
FAQ

Plastics & extrusion heating FAQ

We routinely build 8–32 zone panels. Each zone gets its own PID loop with independent setpoint, alarm and output. For larger machines, we network controllers for centralized HMI monitoring.

Yes. Send us the part number, OD, length, wattage and voltage. We match to American-made equivalents (Watlow, H&S, Thermal Corp) with the same or better watt-density and temperature rating.

Call us with the zone number, setpoint and sensor type. We can typically ship a replacement heater + matched sensor same-day, and walk you through verification remotely.

Running hot? We'll keep it there.
