Industry solution

Precision thermal control for chemical processing

From reactor heating to trace systems, MAHC engineers corrosion-resistant, explosion-safe thermal solutions for demanding chemical environments.

What we solve

Thermal control in hostile environments

Chemical processing demands materials that withstand corrosion, temperatures that reach critical thresholds, and controls that operate safely in classified areas. MAHC provides the complete loop — engineered for these conditions.

Reactor & Vessel Heating

Cast-in, flanged and immersion heaters sized for jacketed reactors, mixing vessels and storage tanks — built in Hastelloy, titanium, PTFE-lined or 316L stainless.

Trace & Pipe Heating

Self-regulating and constant-wattage cable for freeze protection, viscosity maintenance and process temperature on piping runs and instrumentation lines.

Explosion-Safe Control Panels

NEMA 7 / ATEX-rated enclosures for Class I, Div 1 and Div 2 areas. Purged, pressurized or intrinsically safe designs with proper grounding and documentation.

High-Temperature Instrumentation

Type B/C/R/S thermocouples, high-range RTDs and transmitters rated to 2300°F+ for furnaces, reformers and thermal oxidizers.

Our approach

Material science meets thermal engineering

We don't just select heaters — we match metallurgy, insulation class and wiring methods to your specific chemical exposure, temperature range and area classification.

  • Corrosion-resistant alloys (Hastelloy, Inconel, titanium)
  • PTFE and PVDF-lined elements for aggressive media
  • Hazardous-location certified components
  • High-integrity temperature protection (SIL-rated)
  • Documentation for PSM / OSHA compliance
FAQ

Chemical processing thermal FAQ

Yes. We supply and build components certified for hazardous locations — explosion-proof, purged (pressurized), or intrinsically safe designs. Our panels include proper conduit seals, grounding and documentation for AHJ inspection.

For sulfuric acid service we typically recommend Hastelloy C-276 or titanium sheathed elements depending on concentration and temperature. For caustic (NaOH) solutions, 316L stainless or nickel alloys are standard. We'll match the alloy to your specific process conditions.

We offer redundant sensor pairs, independent over-temperature safety controllers (SIL 2/3 rated), and hardwired high-limit trips that operate independently of the primary control loop — meeting your plant's safety instrumented system requirements.

Absolutely. We assess your legacy system, design a migration plan that maintains process safety during changeover, and deliver a modern panel with current code compliance, alarm management and documentation — all with minimal production downtime.
